Directions to Wolverine
The Wolverine trail system is located east of Ironwood, Michigan just north of US Highway 2. The trail may be accessed through several different trail head locations.
The main warming shelter/chalet and Trail head is located off Section 12 Rd. (North of WalMart) then east (right) at Sunset Rd (5851 Sunset Rd., Ironwood, MI 49938). If you choose to use Google Maps to locate us please note that it will direct you west (left) at Sunset Rd, which is incorrect. Mapquest currently provides correct directions.
The hospital trail head is located behind Grand View Hospital.
There is a new trail head with a parking area off Summit Road west off Powderhorn Rd.
Skiiers may also access the trail system from Big Powderhorn Mt. by purchasing a one ride lift pass.
