Information

The Wolverine Nordic Ski Trails are a cooperative effort between the club and private landowners.  All of our trails are located on private property and it is important that our skiing guests help us maintain the good relationship we have with the landowners.  Please, don't litter and try not to wander off of the groomed trails. Dogs are always welcome at Wolverine as long as they are not aggressive to other dogs or skiers. Bags for dog waste are available at all trailheads.

Our Warming Chalet is generally open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  You can purchase water, juice, and pop from a machine inside.  We also try to have hot beverages and snacks available for a modest fee.

The public is welcome to ski on our trails any time of the day or evening but you must be aware of the fact that we do not "sweep" the trails at night to make sure that everyone is off of them.  Cell phones help provide some measure of safety but there are portions of the trails that have dead zones and you cannot get a signal to call for assistance.  You should always ski with a partner and this is more crucial after dark.

Snowshoeing is also permitted on portions of our trail system.  We even have a couple of trails that are for snowshoes only.  These are indicated on our maps.

If you would be interested in holding a race on our trails, we would be happy to help out.  Just get in touch with us by calling 906-932-0347or email us at uptrek@chartermi.net.  Feel free to contact us here for any other questions you may may have.
